La Zona

A 'security-freaked', paranoid community chases a teenager they believe is responsible for the killing of an old lady.
They're wrong but their fury make them blind to the truth.

This film is interesting in many ways.
It reminds somewhat of the fate of the children in Luis Buñuel's Los Olvidados and of Sin Destino.
La Zona is also an interesting film from a sociologic point of view.
As a manifestation of the daily concern about security and architecture, it reminds of Arkitekturmuseet's (Museum of Architecture in Stockholm) exhibition On Cities, where a video about Rio De Janeiro showed how "safe" helicopter rides had become in comparison to car rides, where car-jacking is a daily threat.
The solution is disproportionate.
Welcome to La Zona.

Unleash the fucking fury

Berns, the 17th July.
For the first time, Gunnar and I get to see Yngwie Fucking Malmsteen live.
One knows what one pays for, even if the light, the drummer and some technical parts didn't work that well.
It was a furiously positive experience though.

Kurdish evening

Invited again!
This time, it was a Kurdish evening with our friend Golala and Gunnar had to sin (= eat flesh).
It was very good (as usual).
The wine was a Malbec (the name of the grape and the wine) and our hostess perfect.

Walking around Djurgården with Rina

Nordiska Museet/The Nordic Museum

We met Rina for the first time in several months. As she likes to WALK, we went round Djurgården during 3 hours.

Met our friend Mahla with her acquaintance Tom, and even Lars Leijonborg (former chairman of the Liberal Party in Sweden - Folkpartiet).

Lars Leijonborg

Fagersvik

We were invited by Gunnar's old friend Styrbjörn to a recreational day in Mölnbo.

We played football - to a certain degree - ate and drank.
At the end of the afternoon, the men (Styrbjörn and Gunnar) sang and played the piano.
We were lucky with the weather.

Styrbjörn (photo above) took us on a tour in the surrondings.
We saw among other things the great marble mine, nowadays closed. We took however a bit of marble back to Stockholm.

A nice day with great hospitality and a lot of new knowledge about the places we visited, conveyed to us by Styrbjörn.

Sjätte Tunnan

We ate at our favourite medieval restaurant (the only one in Stockholm as far as we know) and were pleased to listen to Johannes Hellman who played the hurdy gurdy (vielle/vevlira).
He was even familiar with the folk music festival in St Chartier.

I (Aurore) was really proud to be berrichonne this evening...
I (Gunnar) was also proud being married to a berrichonne but on the other hand, that often happens!

Johannes played very well and he told us that his teacher often plays the hurdy gurdy at this medieval restaurant.
He also told us that he was one out of only five 'lira'-players in Sweden and he was the only(?) or one out of two 'semi-professional' player(s) in the country.

He was now going to continue studying music and particularly the hurdy gurdy but he also playes other instruments, the flute e.g.

Eklips - Konst i en mörk tid

The exhibition was rather uneven and I will above all remember the Belgian artist Michaël Borremans. His technique, his work on the light were simply astonishing.
