Vernissage : Les Américains à Châteauroux : "Châteauroux, c'était l'Amérique"

Le vernissage de l'exposition "Châteauroux, c'était l'Amérique", à l'Hôtel de Villaines à La Châtre. 
L'exposition raconte l'histoire, entre 1951 et 1967, quand les Américains avaient une base militaire à Châteauroux (37 km de nous).
Leur présence a créé des liens entre les berrichons et les berrichonnes et les Américains. 
Certains Américains se sont marié avec des berrichonnes (et peut-être des Américaines avec des berrichons ?) et certains berrichons/berrichonnes ont quitté le Berry pour les États-Unis. Certains Américains ont resté ici.
Un parmi les Américains qui a choisi de rester dans Le Berry, était présent pendant le vernissage.

Vernissage for the exhibition "Châteauroux, c'était l'Amérique" - "Châteauroux, it was America" at the exhibition hall Hôtel de Villaines in La Châtre.
The exhibition tells the history, between 1951 and 1967, when the Americans had a military base in the town of Châteauroux (37 km from us).
Their presence of course created links between the berrichons and berrichonnes (the ancient name of the people living in this region) and the Americans. 
Some Americans got married to berrichonnes (and maybe American women with berrichons?) and some of the locals left Le Berry for the United States.
