Aurore & Gunnar: Notre premier jour à Stockholm. Our first day in Stockholm

Après que la compagnie aérienne SAS a ruiné notre premier jour à Stockholm, nous sommes arrivés chez ma cousine Helena, à 22h30 à la place de 19h, comme prévu.
Il y avait des "problèmes technique" selon SAS mais le pire c'était qu'il n'y avait aucune information spontanée sur les changements et les départs. Nous étions obligé de demander tout le temps.
Au début ils ont dit qu'il y avait une avion pour nous à 17h40, puis 18h, puis 18h25 et finalement 20.30!!

Comme ça nous avons raté un rendez-vous avec la fille d'Helena, ma petite cousine Tove et aussi un dîner au restaurant avec des amis, un dîner prévu pour 20h.

Sinon, nous avons réussi à réaliser notre planning du jour (vendredi): Un rendez-vous chez des amis (à Nacka, un banlieue de Stockholm) qui récemment sont devenus des parents. Nous avions acheté une 'Sophie' (la girafe en caoutchouc, presque indestructible) pour leur fille, et nous avons mangé un 'brunch' avec eux.

Après ça, l'Opéra à Stockholm et un rendez-vous avec un chanteur, un choriste qui nous a invité d'une visite guidée derrière les coulisses avec lui! Très gentil et très intéressant avec tous les histoires qu'il a raconté!

Puis un séminaire sur Wagner et le cinéma et après ça l'opéra 'Parsifal', 5 heures et demi!
Nous étions vraiment contents avec l'opéra, la mise en scène, les chanteurs (la plupart), l'orchestre et le chœur!

Après l'opéra nous étions invités de dîner chez une amie dans son appartement et elle avait fait un dîner pour 10 au moins! Très chouette de la rencontrer. Il y a maintenant trois ans la dernière fois.

Nous sommes rentrés chez ma cousine après minuit mais elle était toujours éveillé et avec son mari Mikael elle était en train de manger des crevettes et boire un Chardonnay et nous étions obligé de nous sacrifier et manger avec eux!

After the fact that the airline company SAS had ruined our first day in Stockholm, we arrived at my cousins Helena's home at 10.30 pm instead of of 7 pm as planned.

There were some "technical problems"according to SAS but the worst thing was that there were no 'spontaneous' information concerning the changes of departures. We were forced to ask the personnel all the time, again and again.
At first they told us that there was a plane for us departing at 5.40 pm, thereafter 6pm, thereafter 6.25 pm and finally 8.30 pm!!

Because of this we missed a rendez-vous with Helena's daughter Tove and also a dinner with friends at a restaurant, a dinner scheduled for 8 pm.

Otherwise, we succeeded in go through with our planning our first day (Friday): First a meeting with friends (in the suburb Nacka) who recently became parents. We had bought a present called 'Sophie' (a rubber giraffe making sounds and almost indestructible) and we ate brunch with them.

After this, the Opera House in Stockholm and a meeting with a choir singer, who had invited us to a guided visit behind the stages and coulisses. Very nice of him and also very interesting, not least with all the stories he had to tell about 'the house'!
We continued to a seminar on "Wagner and the Cinema" and after that the opera 'Parsifal, 5 1/2 hours!
We were however extremely satisfied with the opera performance, the staging, the singers (most of them), the orchestra and the choir!

After the opera we were invited to dine with a friend at her apartment and she had made a dinner for 10 persons!! It was very nice to meet her again however and it's now three years ago the last time.

We came back to my cousins home at about midnight but she was still awake, and with her husband Mikael she was in the act of eating shrimps and drinking a Chardonnay, so we had to sacrifice ourselves, joining them!
