Aurore arbetar på Dfm Fiktion medan jag spenderar dagen på Filmhuset.
På kvällen blir det Fransk filmfestival och filmen 'Je ne suis la pour être aimé' av Stéphane Brizé.
Denna film om en man - Jean-Claude (Patrick Chesnais) - anställd på det som motsvarar Kronofogdemyndigheten i en liten stad i Frankrike - är en synnerligen charmig historia.
Jean-Claude är skild och lever ett ensamt och förhållandevis händelselöst liv och arbetet i sig hjälper honom knappast att känna större mening i livet, snarare tvärtom (hans uppgift består i att driva in hyror från de som inte kan betala och i annat fall vräka dem). Sin lediga tid ägnar han åt att besöka sin gamle, tväre och missnöjde far vilken bor på ett ålderdomshem och som sitt enda stora 'nöje' har att klaga på allt och alla, inklusive sin son.
Mittemot Jean-Claudes hus tvärs över gatan ligger en dansstudio där man lär ut tango och dit sänder han många gånger längtansfulla blickar tills en dag han tar modet till sig och besöker en av deras danslektioner samt anmäler sig som elev.
Han träffar där Françoise, en ung, charmig kvinna och tycke uppstår. Problemet är endast att hon är i färd med att gifta sig.

Jean-Claude is divorced an leads a lonely and comparatively uneventful life and the work in itself hardly helps him sense a greater meaning in life, on the contrary (his work consists of trying to make people pay their rent and if they can't arrange with eviction).
He spend his spare time by visiting his old, surly, dissatisfied father living in an old people's home and having as his only pleasure to make complaints on everyone and everything, including his son.
Opposite Jean-Cluades appartment across the street there is a dance studio where they specialize in tango lessons and where he now and then looks, longing to participate. One day he gather courage and visit one of their classes in order to register for the course.
He now meets the young, charming Françoise who he takes a liking to.
The problem is that she is about to marry.
