Malheureusement il faut aller à Paris deux fois pour renouveler mon passeport.
La première fois, c'est normal. Il faut remplir des papiers - mais pas du tout les dossiers gigantesques à la française heureusement - prendre une photo, faire les empreints digitales etc mais la deuxième...
J'ai demandé si l'Ambassade avait la possibilité d'envoyer le passeport à la sous-préfecture à La Châtre, quand c'est prêt mais il n'existe pas un d'accord entre la Suède et la France qui rend ça possible.
La dame m'avait demandé s'il n'y avait pas un consulat suédois proche de moi mais j'ai expliqué que les consulats les plus proche de La Châtre, se situent plus loin de moi que Paris.

Unfortunately one have to go to Paris twice in order to renew my passport.
The first time is understandable. One have to fill in the documents - luckily enough it's not the same amount of papers as in France - take a photo, make the digital fingerprints etc but the second time...
I asked the Embassy if it was possible to send the passport to the sous-préfecture or subprefecture in my town La Châtre, when it was ready, but it doesn't exist and agreement between Sweden and France, making this possible.
The lady asked me if there was a consulate close to me but I explained that the neareast ones to La Châtre are farther away than Paris.
