Efter Filmhuset beger Aurore och jag oss till Thelins café/coffe shop i Fältöversten på Karlaplan för att köpa oss tre semlor, en till oss var och en till Joakim, vår inneboende. Inget till katten Ville dock!
I senaste testet hade just Thelins erhållit de högsta betygen för semlorna, i ett tidgare test var det Gunnarssons konditori på Götgatan.
Väl hemma och efter middagen mumsade vi i oss dessa som de facto var otroligt goda!
Aurore åt sin med varm mjölk, det som på svenska brukar kallas 'hetvägg'. Semla, fettisdagsbulle, fastlagsbulle, hetvägg är några namn på denna mandelmassebulle.

After the Swedish Filminstitute Aurore and I buy three 'semlor' (a wheat bun with cream and almond paste/marzipan and cardemom) at Thelins café, something people use to do in Sweden on this day - Shrove Tuesday (not necessary at Thelins café though).
'Semla' is a word derived from the latin word 'simila' which refered to the finest quality of wheat flour.
We buy one each and one for our 'lodger', Joakim but noone for the cat 'Ville'.
At home we eat them after dinner and they were actually very good.
