Under perioden 26 mars t.o.m. 8 april satsar man från Italienska Ambassaden, Italienska Kulturinstitutet, Italienska Handelskammaren och andra institutioner på att visa italiensk kultur i alla upptänkliga former runt om på olika platser i Stockholm (Italienska Kulturinstitutet, Moderna museet, Arkitekturmuseet, Nordiska Kompaniet, Nobelmuseet m.fl). Evenemanget kallas 'Panorama Italia'. Vi har tyvärr missat det flesta av dessa arrangemang men idag skall vi i alla fall se ett antal videofilmer på Moderna museet gjorda om och av italienska konstnärer.
'Vesuvius-videokonst av neapoletanska konstnärer' heter projektet och det är videofilmer som visas non stop i 'biografen'. De konstnärer som medverkar är:
Efter detta tar vi oss - Aurore och jag - in vägg i vägg till Arkitekturmuseum för att vara med om en vernissage med arkitekturkollektivet 'Urban Research Laboratory'.
Förkortat 'A+URL' startades detta 1999 som ett tvåårigt program vid arkitektursolan på KTH och 2003 utvecklades verksamheten till en självständig organisation bestående av ett arkitektkontor med ett nätverk av medlemmar i och utanför Sverige.
Inom ramen för detta projekt försöker man utröna hur det urbana rummet bör, skall eller kan se ut i en framtid präglad av miljökatastrofer, vattenbrist och nedgången i våra ändliga resurser. Kan städer även fortsättningsvis fortsätta att växa under sådana omständigheter och vad är arkitekturens roll i detta sammanhang. Kan arkitekturen bidraga med lösningar?
Vi fick inte riktigt grepp om detta projekt då informationen var bristfällig, något man skulle åtgärda och presentationen inte skulle komma att ske förrän vid seminariet efter vernissaget och detta seminarium hade vi inte tid att närvara vid. Återkommer kanske längre fram med kommentarer kring 'A+URL'.

During the period 26th of March till 8th of April there is a big concentration of Italian culture exposed in different institutions in Stockholm.
This is a venture that takes place thanks to The Italian Cultural Institute, The Italian Embassy and many other special interest organizations.
The first time this event was arranged was in 2005 if I am correctly informed.
The institutions involved are The Museum of Modern Art, The Architectural Museum, The Nobel Museum and the department store N.K. besides The Italian Cultural Institute.
The name of this event is 'Panorama Italia'.
Unfortunately we have missed a majority of these events Aurore and I but today we went to The Museum of Modern Art to watch some video films made by some artistst from Neapels (Napoli).
The artists participating in this film where the following: Betty Bee, Bianco Valente, Lello Lopez, Piero Golia, Giulia Piscitelli, Lorenzo Scotto Di Luzio, Marinella Senatore, Luca Mattei, Vedovamazzei, Gabriele Di Matteo. We only had time to see a short part of one of these films.
It tells the story about an artist - unfortunately I do not remember his name - who decides to 'disappear' in connection to a vernissage in the USA and shortly before a seminar in Copenhagen to which he is invited.
He tries to leave the country (USA) without leaving any trace and this becomes quite interesting if we consider how difficult it is to 'disappear' in the global 'surveillance-society' we are all a part of, particularly in the Western world.
In this film we listen to interviews with colleagues to the 'lost' artist, police and many others who discuss his idea and project from different angles.
After this Aurore and I cross the entrance to visit The Swedish Museum of Architecture for a vernissage with the architecture 'collective' called 'Urban Research Laboratory', abbreviated 'URL'.
This project started in 1999 as a two year programme at the School of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
In 2003 it was developed into a independent organization consisting of an architectural office with a network of members both in and outside Sweden. Within the framework of this project one tries to find out how the urban room ought, must or should look like in a future characterized by environmental catastrophies, lack of water and the decline of our finit recources.
Can cities really grow continuesly during these circumstances and what is the rôle of architecture in this scenario?
Could architecture contribute to a solution to these problems?
Those are the questions discussed during the following seminar.
We did not have time to attend the seminar though and the information concerning this exhibition was not yet fully developed.
