The Spring has arrived and Norwegian Film Party too

Våren är kommen till Stockholm - förhoppningsvis för att stanna.
Solen har värmt oss under ett antal dagar och vi har haft omkring 10-15 grader varmt.
Enligt meterologerna är våren tidig i Stockholsområdet. Personligen anser jag att våren aldrig kan komma för tidigt. Detta trots att jag är pollenallergiker.
Även blomningen och därmed sammanhörande pollenproblem har startat. Har dock ej känt av det.

Erhöll mail från en god vän i Australien. Hon har genomlevt en mycket varm sommar under den period då vi haft vinter och nu går de in i höstperioden. Temperaturen har legat mellan 30-35 och uppemot 40 grader Celsius. I juli skall hon och hennes man och barn besöka Sverige. Stannar två månader och då skall vi försöka träffas.

Träffade henne i samband med mitt arbete inom den stiftelse jag grundade vilken arbetade med hjälp och stöd åt missbrukare och hemlösa.
Hon genomförde i sin fotoutbildning ett projekt där hon avsåg dokumentera hemlösa i Stockholm och hade härigenom kommit i kontakt med en man som frekventerade vår lokal i Hökarängen.

En dag ringde hon på dörren till vår lokal och härigenom kom vi i kontakt med varandra. Hon är egentligen utbildad laboratorietekniker.

Hon träffade senare en man från Australien och flyttade till slut med honom dit. Har bott i Australien under fyra-fem års tid.

Även idag, torsdag är det varmt och vårlikt men däremot är det enligt tidningsuppgifter stora problem med allt damm som rörs upp då det är torrt och den gamla sanden som behövdes på vägarna under vintern ligger kvar.
Antalet mikropartiklar är på vissa ställen i stan mer än fyra gånger högre än gränsvärdena.
Ställer till problem för alla men fr.a för människor med astma, dåliga luftvägar etc.

För pollenallergiker blir det alltså både pollen och damm men det är ju inget nytt. Samma sak varje vår. Konstigt att man inte lyckas åtgärda detta.
Det blir lite som då snön börjar falla varje vinter. Alla blir 'tagna på sängen' och varje sig företagen som skall sköta snöröjningen eller pendeltåg och tunnelbanor/bussar klarar detta. Något förvånande. Vi har ju haft denna typ av klimat i vårt land ett antal hundra tusen år.

Idag startar 'Norsk filmfest' på biografen Sture, en uppföljare till 'Kjempegrejt' som den norska filmfestivalen hette vilken genomfördes 2005 på Sture och där jag och Aurore träffades.

Norsk film är relativt okänd i Sverige. Den genomsnittlige filmbesökaren har säkert sett ett antal danska filmer och några finska med Kaurismäki's verk i första rummet.
Hur många svenskar kan dock nämna några norska regissörer eller skådespelare trots att de har många kompetenta sådana i olika kategorier.

Vad man dessutom kan ge Norge en eloge för är att man bättre än Sverige vårdar sitt filmarv. Detta kan jag återkomma till vid annat tillfälle.

The spring has arrived in Stockholm and hopefully for good.
The sun has been warming us a couple of days now and the temperature has risen to between 10-15 degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorologists the spring has arrived early in the Stockholm area but according to me, the spring can never arrive too early.

This in spite the fact that I am having problems with pollen and suffers from allergy in the spring. This statement because the flowering also started earlier this year.

I got a mail from a good friend, a Swedish woman living in Australia.
She has experienced a very hot summer during our winter (of course) and now they are heading towards the autumn period.

The temperature in Australia during summer, near Melbourne where they live, reached 30-35 degrees Celsius, even up til 40.

In July she and her husband and child are going to visit Sweden.
They will stay for two months and during that period we will try to meet, if possible.

I met her in connection to my work within the foundation (Ascendere) I started where I gathered a group of dedicated persons in order to help and support homeless people and people with drug problems.

This woman was at the time carrying out a photoproject at the school of photography where she studied. This project implied trying to document the situation for the homeless people in Stockholm.
In connection with this work she had come in contact with a man who often frequented our premises in the suburb. One day she rang our door bell and through this visit we became good friends. She is actually educated laboratory assistant.

She met a man from Australia and after some years in Sweden she moved with him to Australia where she has been living for about four-five years.

The sun is shining today and it's relatively warm weather (from a Swedish standpoint) but big problems with the dust and micro particals that are stired up with the dust from the roads. The amount of micro particals are in some places in Stockholm more than four times the threshold value and this of course causes health problems.
It's a bit strange that this is a problem so hard to attend and find a solution to. It's the same thing every year and has been so for decades as long as we have had cars and being forced to strew grit on the roads during the winter.
It's almost the same problems when winter comes. Every singel enterprise working with clearing up the snow always seem surprised when the snow starts to fall and to my knowledge the snow has, in this country, this time of the year, fallen for many hundreds of thousands of years. It can't come as a surprise!?

Today 'Norwegian filmparty' (my translation from the Swedish 'Norsk filmfest' and the link is in Swedish) starts at cinema Sture.
This is a follow-up to 'Kjempegreit' the Norwegian filmfestival that were realized in 2005 at the same cinema and it was there that Aurore and I met for the first time.

Norwegian film is relatively unknown to the Swedish audience.
The average Swedish filmviewer have probably seen a number of Danish films - Lars von Trier, Susanne Bier and many more -and some Finnish ones with Aki Kaurismäki as the most celebrated and well known name.

How many Swedes are able to mention any names of Norwegian directors and actors despite Norway having a number of very competent persons in each of these categories.

Another thing that one have to praise Norway for is that they in a much better way than Sweden take care of and treasure their film heritage.
I will maybe return to this question in later blogs.
