Tchi Tcha (cinema, cinema)

Today, two films at Cinemateket in Stockholm:

Rue de l'Estrapade by Jacques Becker, and Murder by Alfred Hitchcock.

The first film was a "comédie de moeurs", i.e. a film with a weird sense of morality.
A woman is betrayed by her husband. She leaves him to move to the street that gives its name to the film.
There, she gets a crush on a bohème, a singer (Daniel Gélin).
The husband becomes jealous and the couple goes back to its 'good old life'.

Murder was a predictable theatrical horribly kitschy film that confirmed my (Aurore's) despise for Hitchcock's work.
I have always said that he was an entertainer and not a filmmaker. This film confirmed this.
Murder is one of Hitchcock's worst films ever.
