The director Pascale Ferran has made a film of the second version of this well known novel by D.H. Lawrence - 'Lady Chatterley('s lovers')'. Lawrence wrote three versions and this is the second one with the name 'Jess Thomas and Lady Jane'.
The acting is good but the adaptation for the screen where everyone speaks French but they at the same time keep the English names of places and people feels somewhat mal placé. It reminds me of older English and American films where people from different countries were depicted but the English-speaking actors continued speaking their mother tongue with a German, French or other accent.
In spite of many awards at the French César gala, this film didn't impress neither Aurore or me.
