Franska filmfestivalen fortsätter idag med filmen 'Belle toujours' som är en hyllning till Luis Buñuels film 'Belle de jours' inom ramen för rubriken Ciné Francais.
Den som genom denna film vill hylla Buñuel är den idag äldsta levande filmregissören, Manoel de Oliveira, född 1908!!
Filmen i sig är mycket kort, endast 78 minuter och den har sina kvaliteter men jag kan inte säga att jag är särdeles imponerad av filmatiseringen och förstår inte riktigt vari referenserna till Buñuels film ligger. Kanske är det jag som är dum.
Inte heller skådespeleriet är särskilt övertygande och det gäller inte minst den kvinnliga huvudrollsinnehavaren, Bulle Ogier.

The French Film Festival continues today with the film 'Belle toujours', a tribute to Luis Buñuel and his film 'Belle de jours' within the framework for Ciné Francais.
Manoel de Oliveira who in this way pay tribute to Buñuel is the oldest still working director in the world, born in 1908!!
The film in itself is very short, only 78 minutes and it has its qualities of course but I can't say I am impressed by this adaption for the screen and I can't quite understand the references to Buñuels movie. Maybe I am stupid.
Neither the acting where particularly convincing and this goes especially for the female starring rôle Bulle Ogier.
