Coeurs

Efter Filmhuset beger vi oss - Aurore och jag - till biografen Sture - Franska filmfestivalen - för att se filmen 'Coeurs' av Alain Resnais, denne nestor inom fransk film, född 1922.

Jag presenterar filmen tillsammans med en av de andra volontärerna och har läst på en hel del kring kvällens verk men vi har ju inte många minuter till vårt förfogande, omkring fem minuter inalles varför man inte hinner med någon grundligare genomgång.
Publiken är ju konstigt nog där inte för min skull utan för filmen?! Jag som älskar att tala!

Nåväl, filmen i sig handlar om ett antal människor som på olika sätt ger uttryck för kärleken när de inte är upptagna med att finna den. Kärlek i detta sammanhang visar sig inte endast vara mellan man och kvinna eller man-man, kvinna-kvinna utan tar sig även andra uttryck.
Kärleken uttrycks på många olka sätt men ensamheten är kanske det stora temat.

Tyvärr upplever jag att Resnais, som jag annars är mycket förtjust i som filmskapare, inte riktigt lyckats knyta samman alla berättelser och göra dem intressanta som enskilda historier eller i interaktion med de andra historierna den övergripande berättelseramen.

Ingen dålig film men absolut inte ett av Resnais bästa verk.

After the Swedish Filminstitute Aurore and I head towards cinema Sture - The French Film Festival - in order to watch the film 'Coeurs' by Alain Resnais, this 'grand old man' within French film, born in 1922.

I introduce the film together with another volunteer and I had read quite a lot about this film and its making but we don't have more than perhaps five minutes in all at our disposal - divided on two - why we don't have time to talk about interesting details surronding the film.
The audience are there for the film not for me, strangely enough! I who love to talk!

The film deals with a group of people who in different ways try to express love when not trying to find it. Love in this context is not only love between man and woman, man and man or woman and woman but expresses itself in a multitude of ways.
The love is expressed in different ways but maybe the main theme is loneliness.

Unfortunately I find that Resnais, whom I like very much as a film maker, not entirely has succeeded to tie the stories together making them interesting as either individual stories or in interaction with the other stories within the all-embracing framework.

Not a bad film but far from his best ouvres.
