Pique-nique à Nohant chez George Sand

Parfois on fait un pique-nique dans la commune de Champillet, parfois dans les communes Thevet Saint-Julien ou Mers-sur-Indre mais aujourd'hui à Nohant, chez George Sand ou dans le parc à l’extérieur en tout cas.

Sometimes we do a picnic in the commune of Champillet, sometimes in the communes of Thevet Saint-Julien or Mers-sur-Indre but today in Nohant, at George Sand's place or in the park outside the mansion anyway.

 

Michel Onfray à Nohant : "Le Romantisme selon Michel Onfray"/"The Romanticism according to Michel Onfray"

Samedi, pour le deuxième week-end du 51e Nohant Festival Chopin, le philosophe et écrivain, Michel Onfray, participera à une causerie-rencontre, animée par Jean-Yves Clément (Directeur artistique des Fêtes Romantiques de Nohant depuis 1995, philosophe et pianiste), sur le thème Le Romantisme selon Michel Onfray. 

Nous étions là et ci-dessous quelques photos (assez nulle mais...). La première photo est prise du journal La Nouvelle République le 11 juin 2017.

La salle était pleine.

On Saturday, in connection to the second weekend of the 51st Nohant Festival Chopin (Chopin Festival in Nohant), the philosopher and writer, Michel Onfray, participated in conversation-meeting, led by Jean-Yves Clément (artistic director of the Fêtes Romantiques de Nohant since 1995, philosopher and pianist), where the subject was The Romanticism according to Michel Onfray.

We were there and below you can see some photos (rather bad ones but...). The first photo is taken from the newspaper La Nouvelle République the 11th of July 2017.

The theatre was full.

Aujourd'hui nous sommes allés à La Maison de George Sand à Nohant mais pas pour rencontrer "La Dame" mais pour une dédicace d'un livre qui s'intitule Des Jardins et des Hommes.

C'est une collaboration entre le jardinier, paysagiste, botaniste, entomologiste Gilles Clément (né à Argenton-sur-Creuse), le pharmacien, biologiste, botaniste et écologue Jean-Marie Pelt, le pianiste Patrick Scheyder et surtout - pour nous les cinéphiles - le grand acteur Michael Lonsdale.

Le titre du livre fait bien sûr référence au film Des hommes et des dieux de Xavier Beauvois où Lonsdale tenait un rôle important.
Entre parenthésé, c'était un des films que j'ai (Gunnar) résumé pour le Festival du Film à Stockholm en 2010.

Today we went to La Maison de George Sand (The House of George Sand in Nohant) but not in order to meet "The Lady" but for the dedication of a book entitled Des Jardins et des Hommes (The Gardens and the Men or Humans).

It's a collaboration between the persons above mentioned in the french text and among them, first and foremost - for us film lovers - the great actor Michael Lonsdale.

The title of the book of course refers to the film Des Hommes et des Dieux (Of Gods and Men, by Xavier Beauvois) where Lonsdale played one of the major rôles.
By the way, one of the films I (Gunnar) wrote about for the Film Festival in Stockholm in 2010.
