Crozant, une excursion. Le Château/ la ruine

Nous avons fait une excursion, Aurore, ma belle-mère et moi ce jour.  Nous avons visité la ville de Crozant et la ruine du Château de Crozant.
 
On pense q'une forteresse a été édifiée primitivement déjà entre 997 et 1018 mais selon des sources plus ou moins fiable, le château est mentionné pour la première fois dans une charte des années 1200-1210.
 
C'est un site magnifique et je peux, chaleureusement, recommander une visite !

We made an excursion, Aurore, my mother-in-law and I today. We visited the town called Crozant and the famous ruin of the Castle of Crozant.
 
One believes that a primitive fortress was built already between 997 and 1018 A.D. but according to the more or less reliable sources, the castle was mentioned for the first time in a document (charta) between 1200 to 1210.
 
It's a magnificent sight and I can warmly recommend a visit.

In the photos we see the Chairman of the Academy of Berry, Mister Alain Bilot and  the French admiral and former head of the French Navy, chef d'état-major de la marine, Mister Pierre-François Forissier.

The Admiral spoke about the development within the Marines in France in a historic perspective.

Vernissage Salon d'automne, Hôtel de Villaines, La Châtre

Dominique Van Huffel, présidente du Lions club, a inauguré la trentième exposition de peinture de l'association qui accueille Jacques Lacroix, Pierre Demard, Pat'Ales, Bernard Blondet, Isabelle Sarian et Jean-Marc Weymiens, respectivement peintres, peintre sculpteur et sculpteur. 

Des toiles et des sculptures seront mises en vente, dont les bénéfices récoltés seront reversés à une œuvre sociale.

Après avoir écrit le premier livre complet en langue française sur l'histoire du cinéma norvégien (101 ans de cinéma norvégien), Aurore a reçu une invitation du Président de l'Académie du Berry, monsieur Alain Bilot, pour devenir membre de ladite académie. Elle a accepté l'invitation.

A l'occasion de l'intronisation, il fallait un discours inaugural mais comme elle ne pouvait pas parler du cinéma norvégien ou scandinave (ses sujets principaux), on lui a donné un sujet lié au Berry.

Son sujet - proposé par Alain Bilot : le botaniste Jules Néraud, né à La Châtre, sa vie et son œuvre. Il était juriste à la base et botaniste amateur.

Elle a réussi malgré le fait qu'il n'y avait presque rien d'écrit sur la vie de Jules Néraud. Etre une habile chercheuse peut aider dans toutes sortes de situations.

After  having written the first complete book in French about the history of the Norwegian Cinema (101 ans de cinéma norvégien), Aurore received an invitation from the Chairman of the Berry Academy (l'Académie du Berry), Mister Alain Bilot, to become member of the Academy. She accepted the invitation.

For the event she had to prepare an inaugural speech but she could not speak about the Norwegian or Scandinavian cinema (her main subjects), it had to be related to Berry.

Her subject - suggested by Alain Bilot: the Botanist Jules Néraud, born in La Châtre, his life and work. He worked as a lawyer but was also an amateur botanist.

She succeeded in her task, in spite of the fact that there was almost nothing written on the life of Jules Néraud. As a matter of fact, the work done by Aurore is groundbreaking.

Cousinade à Trévol/Family reunion at Trévol

Nous étions invité à la Cousinade à Trévol et nous sommes y allez.

Ils  n'ont pas tous pu venir mais quelques-unes dans la famille.

We were invited to a Family Reunion in the town of Trévol 

and we went there.

Not everyone could come but some of the family members.
