Kommandør Treholt og Ninjatroppen/Norwegian Ninja

If you read IMDb, you will find that the write: "The true story of how Commander Arne Treholt and his Ninja Force saved Norway during the Cold War.".
Of course it's not true but Arne Treholt is "true". He was a former Norwegian Labour Party politician and diplomat. During the cold war he was convicted of high treason on behalf of both the Soviet Union and Iraq. This case is seen as the most serious spy case in the modern Norwegian history. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 1985 but served only 8. Now he lives in Cyprus or Russia, working as a consultant and businessman.

From this "true story" (we don't know how much was true concerning Treholt neither) the director Thomas Cappelen Malling has created a totally untrue story(?) about Treholt creating a special "Ninja Force" fighting the enemy/enemies during the Cold War, sometimes not knowing who is the enemy or not.

Personally I didn't find this film particularly well composed and the laughs were few.
I think Aurore appreciated it more but maybe she saw something I didn't?
The problem - again (as I've written about this before) - is that the film doesn't seem to know if it should stay in the comedy genre or not, meaning that it oscillates between pure burlesk Monty Python-satire and a more "serious" stance to the subject.
It hasn't neither succeeded in becoming a "James Bondish" film with serious questions wrapped into a somewhat humorous outfit.
No, this was a disappointment, not least as the trailer promised more than the film could deliver.
In the major role we see a very good "serious" actor Mads Ousdal.
